Seafield masterplan consultation
From Edinburgh Council:
The proposed City Plan 2030 identifies the need for a Place Brief and a Masterplan for Seafield. This is to ensure that as proposals come forward in line with its designation as a location for new homes, there is a co-ordinated approach to creating a successful new neighbourhood.
7N Architects have been appointed by the City of Edinburgh Council to create this Place Brief and Masterplan and are working with City of Edinburgh Council and members of Seafield: Connecting Coastal Communities.
We will be consulting the community in three stages. This is Stage 1 and concerns high level issues and opportunities at Seafield. We will be responding to the outcome of this stage at Stage 2 and then reviewing final proposals at Stage 3. Please see our main page for updates.

Petition: new bus route to connect The Shore to Portobello
LHNCC residents may be interested in this petition. It calls for a new bus route to connect The Shore and Portobello ‘to better connect our vibrant neighboring communities’.
According to the petition organisers, ‘Traveling between The Shore in Leith to Portobello High Street is a quick trip of only a few miles along Seafield, but there is no direct bus route which connects the two. Traveling by car is bad for the environment and not possible for all residents – we believe that beach trips and Shore drinks should be easier for everyone!’
