(adapted from an email from Edinburgh Council)
On the 22nd August The City of Edinburgh Council opened a targeted consultation to gather feedback from local residents in relation to the proposal to install secure cycle parking units on 79 streets across the city following a successful pilot project.
The consultation period will run until the 30th of September and the residents of the selected streets were informed through flyers delivered to their doors. A total of five streets have been proposed for the installation of secure cycle parking units in the Leith ward:
- Bernard Street
- Constitution Street
- Leith Links (Links Place)
- Prince Regent Street
- Sheriff Brae
Following this consultation, the responses will be reviewed and Traffic Regulations Orders will be processed.
Installation is expected to start in winter 2019 on all approved locations.
