Secure Street Cycle Parking Consultation

(adapted from an email from Edinburgh Council)

On the 22nd August The City of Edinburgh Council opened a targeted consultation to gather feedback from local residents in relation to the proposal to install secure cycle parking units on 79 streets across the city following a successful pilot project.

The consultation period will run until the 30th of September and the residents of the selected streets were informed through flyers delivered to their doors. A total of five streets have been proposed for the installation of secure cycle parking units in the Leith ward:

  • Bernard Street
  • Constitution Street
  • Leith Links (Links Place)
  • Prince Regent Street
  • Sheriff Brae

Following this consultation, the responses will be reviewed and Traffic Regulations Orders will be processed.

Installation is expected to start in winter 2019 on all approved locations.

I trust that this information is of use however if you require any further information then please do not hesitate to email the Active Travel section at activetravel@edinburgh.gov.uk.

Kindest regards,
