It’s been a busy couple of weeks!
Our Harvest festival celebration with the Himalayan Centre and St James Scottish Episcopal Church on the 24th of October was a really enjoyable event. We shared food, did a Himalayan dance workshop and a fermentation workshop, sang some songs and had a wonderful talk from Iain MacKinnon of the Scottish Crofting Federation. He read us a statement from the SCF which you can read here.
There are still spaces available for our Leith Lunches workshops on the 25th of November and the 11th of December. Do get in touch with Elly on firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in booking a place.
We are still looking for new board members at Crops in Pots, especially a treasurer, let us know if you are interested in these positions. More information here
There will be a croft commons meeting at 3pm on Sunday 9th of November. The commons is open to all crofters and everyone is welcome to join in work in the communal areas.
Before we hit the busy festive season we are having a social get together on the 19th of November in the red room at The Constitution Bar. If you are thinking of becoming a member do come along and meet us, or if you already are do join us for a catch up! Its important for new members to feel integrated into the crofting community so please come along and connect.
