🚨What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Leith Harbour and Newhaven Community Council (LHNCC) is hosting a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing on Monday 28 September at 7pm at St James Episcopal Church.

The Briefing is an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be an open discussion about what it means for the Leith community and what we can do locally.

We will be inviting local Leith Councillors as well as MSPs to come and join us for this event.

Seats are free but limited so please book in advance. Tea, coffee and sweets will also be provided.
