LHNCC is leading the development of a Local Place Plan for Leith on behalf of the three community council areas (Leith Harbour and Newhaven, Leith Links, and Leith Central) .

We aim to get views from as many people in Leith as possible and develop one vision for Leith, with a separate submission from each community council. The main way we’re consulting is by way of a questionnaire. There are two questionnaires, the first was launched in June/July 2025 and asked the respondents: (1) How do you feel about Leith now? and (2) What do you think about the proposed Leith Place Plan? The second questionnaire has just been launched and we will be seeking views during August and September 2025. The deadline for submission to the City Council is Autumn 2025.
